Valentine’s Day Paleo Pancakes
These pancakes rock. That’s the easiest way to explain it.
Not only is the flavor fantastic, but they also take relatively little time and supplies to make!
In fact, for two servings, you can expect only to spend around 15 minutes total (10 minutes of prepping and 5 of cooking)! Which is ultra-convenient if you don’t want to spend the whole day cooking.
So, now that I (hopefully) have you excited to try these pancakes, let’s jump into what you’ll need to have.
Ingredients
We’ll split this up into two sections—the pancakes themselves and the toppings that pull them together.
Pancakes:
- Two tbsp. of water or nut milk.
- Two eggs, either free-range or pasture-raised.
- One cup of Simple Mills gluten-free pancake mix.
- Four tsp. of olive oil.
Toppings:
- Maple syrup
- Berries
- Hemp seeds
See? As I said, it doesn’t take much to have a wonderful Valentine’s Day breakfast! But let’s talk about what to do with these ingredients.
Instructions
- First, you want to whisk the eggs, oil and water together in a bowl. Then add the pancake mix and continue whisking until combined.
- Next, you can heat up a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add around two tablespoons of batter to the pan for each pancake. After it begins to bubble or after one to two minutes, you can flip the pancake, letting it continue to cook for an additional one to two minutes. Then you’re good to put it on a plate!
- For the last Valentine’s Day touch, you can take a heart-shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut it into shape. Finally, serve the pancakes with a bit of maple syrup, fresh berries and hemp seeds.
Happy Valentines Day!
